Misinformation Exists In Different Modalities, Omnipresent Through All Industries

We are a team of leaders from the fields of biology, biology education and medicine, united by our effort to stop the spread of misinformation. Misinformation is intellectual cancer.
Its detection, analysis, and solutions are paramount to supporting information integrity and an open democracy.

Stopping its spread, treating its impact, and addressing its sources are why we’ve formed.

We have all seen first hand that chronic misinformation can exploit confidence and erode trust. Importantly, misinformation doesn’t just prey on the vulnerable and uninformed. It turns social/information bubbles into weapons by inserting and/or carving out specific contexts and perspectives to fit a narrative.

The 5 unnecessary deaths that these back banner images represent, showcase some of the irreversible, tangible effects of misinformation and its wielding

Extensive research has already been conducted on past studies of misinformation.

We are primarily interested in Health/Science misinformation, political misinformation, and the intersection of policy, misinformation, and its long-term impact.

We will continue to study the intersections of related fields and modulators of misinformation (i.e. social medias with different governance and stances on misinformation).
